Obituary of Joseph John Robert McKinnon
It is with great sadness that the family of Bob McKinnon announces his passing on November 19th, 2017 in Cold Lake, Alberta at the age of 66.
Bob will be forever missed by his wife Vi McKinnon whom he wed on September 2nd, 1972 in Rogersville, New Brunswick. His children Kim (Wallace) Kachmarski, Tammy Read (Chad Kreiser) and Stacy (Lonnie) Voss; His grandchildren Taylor Kachmarski, Aaron Kachmarski, Liam Kachmarski, Tyson Read, Beau Read, Alexa Voss and Kiptyn Voss; Sibblings Debbie (Leo) Tobin, Stephen (Hazel) McKinnon and Donna (Bernie) Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews will all dearly miss him. Bob was predeceased by his parents Bruce McKinnon, Ursula Savage and step-mothers Eileen McKinnon and Theresa McKinnon. Bob served his country as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and retired as a Warrant Officer after 23 years of service. He served as President for the Royal Canadian Legion in Germany as well as Branch 211, the Persian Gulf Veterans of Canada Board and the Air Force Association of Canada 484 Wing. He received the Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation and was a Gulf War Veteran. After retiring from the armed forces, he was the owner of MF Specialty and Sports as well as an avid community volunteer for many years. |

A service of Remembrance took place at the Holy Name Chapel RC on Queensway at 4 Wing Cold Lake, AB on November 24th, 2017 at 11:00am.

Burial Details
Bob was laid to rest at the Assumption Cemetery in a private family ceremony. If you wish to pay your respects he is at plot #03.
